Position - E & I Engineer (M - 1 Post)

Working Days & Hours - Monday to Friday (8:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM)

Job Descriptions:
- Design, install, testing and commission electrical and instrumentation systems for plant operations.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and control systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, schematics, and documentation for E&I equipment.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects, shutdown and upgrades including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system configurations.
- Assist in the procurement of electrical and instrumentation spare-parts and materials.
- Assist in training plant personnel on E&I systems operation and safety procedures.
- Participate in safety audits and ensure all activities meet safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and safety.
- Other duties may be assigned by your immediate supervisor or the management as required to support plant operations and organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering preferably within the chemical, manufacturing, or process industries or similar industrial environments.
- Experience in plant maintenance, project execution, and safety compliance is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Extra Low Voltage), PLC/SCADA systems, DCS controls, and instrumentation devices.
- Working knowledge in factory power distribution plant such as power transformer, diesel generator, switchgear, and power distribution panels.
- Familiarity with SCADA, DCS systems, and ERP systems (e.g., MS Business Central).
- Knowledge of Electrical standards (IEC, NEC), safety protocols and local electrical safety codes and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Physically fit to perform on-site inspections and maintenance.
- Capable of understanding and contributing to technical discussions, reading and writing reports.
- Communicating effectively in English.
