Job Descriptions
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and industry safety, environmental & health regulations.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Review, conduct site verification and issue PTW.
- Deliver EHS training sessions, awareness programs, and safety campaigns for employees to promote safety awareness and best practices.
- Support workplace accident/Incident investigations and root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS documentation and record-keeping systems.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop, communicate, and regularly review/update emergency response plans.
- Administer hazard materials management, fire drills, and emergency drills within the company.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, preparing reports for management review.
- Stay updated on relevant EHS legislation and industry best practices, communicating changes to relevant teams.
- Organize and facilitate Plant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Committee meetings.
- Administer and liaise with the Plant Security Agency, ensuring the security team performs to expected standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support plant operations and organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Engineering/Science
- Additional qualification in Environmental Engineering/Science and Occupational Health & Safety or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of local and international EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Familiarity with risk assessment and hazard analysis techniques.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Ability to conduct safety inspection/audit effectively.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to train and influence others on EHS best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Minimum intermediate skills in spoken and written English
- Good team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
